1st Hospital of Jilin University

The First Hospital of Jilin University was founded in 1949. It is a large-scale comprehensive Class-A hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care, and rehabilitation. The hospital was formerly the Affiliated Hospital of the First Military Medical University of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

In 2019, in the 19 best clinical discipline evaluation rankings announced by the National Medical Data Center, the hospital has 11 specialties in the top 15 and comprehensively ranked fifth in the country. In 2020, the hospital ranks 45th in the list of Chinese hospitals of Fudan University. Among the 1,325 tertiary first-class hospitals in China’s ranking of hospitals’ scientific and technological influence, the hospital ranks 31st, second in the three northeastern provinces and first in Jilin Province. Among the 26 subject rankings evaluated by the hospital's scientific and technological influence, 22 subjects ranked first in Jilin Province. In recent years, in the comprehensive ranking of the best employers in China's medical institutions on the Dingxiangyuan Medical website, they have all ranked among the top ten in the country.

The hospital currently has two campuses with a total construction area of 549,500 square meters and more than 10,000 employees. In 2020, there were 3.1 million outpatient and emergency visits, 300,000 discharged patients, and 189,000 surgical cases. In 2009, the hospital formed a medical consortium. Now it has 107 member units and has created a medical collaboration network with the First Hospital of Jilin University as the core and across the province.
