Jilin Provincial Federation of Trade Unions Holds “Learning and Applying New Thoughts, Reading for Growth” Young Cadres’ Book Sharing Session

On May 7, the Jilin Provincial Federation of Trade Unions held the “Learning and Applying New Thoughts, Reading for Growth” Young Cadres’ Book Sharing Session. Bian Jing, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Executive Vice Chairman of the Jilin Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, attended the event and delivered a speech.

At the event, five young trade union cadres shared their insights from studying the book Xi Jinping and Frontline Workers. Between the lines of the book lies General Secretary Xi Jinping’s sincere care for frontline workers and ardent expectations for industrial workers and trade union work. Combining their own experiences, they exchanged understandings and plans. With vivid expressions and logical interpretations, each sharing became an ideological collision and emotional resonance, allowing young cadres on-site to feel the leader’s care and gather striving strength.

The meeting emphasized the following requirements:

• Uphold learning new knowledge and applying new thoughts to consolidate theoretical foundations. Take learning and applying new thoughts as a lifelong pursuit, study original works, texts and principles, further strengthen theoretical competence, and effectively translate learning outcomes into practical capabilities.

• Adhere to reading as the foundation and fostering growth through books to forge strong capabilities. Treat reading as a compulsory lifelong course, learn while working and work while learning. Closely align with trade union work realities, and translate book knowledge into practical abilities to serve workers and promote development.

• Stick to moral cultivation and integrity building to maintain a clean and honest nature. Consciously draw nourishment from classic works and foster integrity. Act as the trusted family for workers with a clean and pragmatic work style.

This book sharing session built a platform for young cadres to exchange and learn, further inspiring their enthusiasm to “love reading, read good books, and be good at reading”. It serves as a powerful measure to implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions, deepen theoretical guidance and enhance capabilities, as well as an innovative carrier to stimulate learning enthusiasm and empower cadre growth.

Going forward, the Jilin Provincial Federation of Trade Unions will take this event as an opportunity, use books as a ladder and forge soul through learning. It will unswervingly act as staunch believers and loyal practitioners of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, continuously draw wisdom from the Party’s innovative theories, strive to improve self-cultivation and capabilities, effectively translate learning outcomes into work motivation, and write a striving chapter of proactive performance and diligent practice in the new journey of promoting high-quality development of trade union work.

Members of the Party Leadership Group, inspectors, the resident Discipline Inspection and Supervision Team, and all Party members and cadres from various departments, industrial unions, centers and directly affiliated units of the Federation attended the meeting.
