Airlines eye skiers to boost ticket sales

Widespread temperature drops nationwide have fueled consumer enthusiasm for taking skiing trips, and domestic airlines have launched different kinds of winter-themed flights to satisfy growing demand and attract more tourists.

Shanghai-based Juneyao Airlines has adjusted its winter flight schedule. On Dec 2, it launched new daily round-trip flights between Nanjing, Jiangsu province, and Changbaishan, Jilin province. Changbaishan is known for top-level ski venues and resorts.

Juneyao also operates flights connecting Changbaishan with Tianjin and Shanghai. This winter, the carrier plans to add more flights to cities such as Harbin and Changchun in Northeast China.
