Chinese Lunar New Year photo exhibition makes global debut online

As the most important festival for Chinese people approaches, a photo exhibition on the Chinese Lunar New Year, also known as Spring Festival, has been launched online with a series of festive activities called "Happy Chinese New Year" getting underway around the globe, China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced in a public notice on Monday.

The digital event features 65 works selected from more than 10,000 entries sent to a global program to collect festival-themed photographs launched by the ministry during last year's Spring Festival.

The virtual photo exhibition is divided into three sections under themes such as "Family Reunion" and "Peaceful World." It showcases the traditional festival's diverse activities and customs, extending Chinese New Year greetings and best wishes to people all over the world.
