Two million doses of Chinese COVID-19 vaccine arrive in Chile

Two million doses of COVID-19 vaccine developed by Sinovac, a Chinese biopharmaceutical company, arrived in Santiago, capital of Chile on Thursday.
Chilean President Sebastian Pinera, Health Minister Jaime Manalich, and Zhou Yi, the charge d'affaires of Chinese embassy in Chile, received the shipment at the Arturo Merino Benitez airport.
Pinera said Chile will expand COVID-19 vaccination to people aged 18 and above, adding that the second batch of 2 million doses will arrive at the end of this week.
Pinera also said the country will begin inoculations from February and he plans to get vaccinated by mid-February.
