The ancient fishing and hunting feast in Jilin

　　The 23rd Ice and Snow Fishing and Hunting Cultural Tourism Festival kicked off on December 28th at Chagan Lake in Jilin province.

　　Chagan Lake, known as the“Pearl of the North”, is also the largest inland lake in Jilin province. The lake boasts clear water and abundant fish resources, including over 60 species, such as carp, grass carp and crucian carp. The winter fishing of Chagan Lake, as a national intangible cultural heritage, has been passed down from Liao and Jin dynasties and has a history of a thousand years.
