Press conference for the Northeast thematic briefing on "Stories of CPC" was held

　　On October 13, the press conference for the Northeast thematic briefing on "Stories of CPC" was held in Changchun. Hu Zhaoming, spokesperson for the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, introduced the relevant information about the Northeast Special Presentation and answered questions from reporters.

　　"Stories of CPC- Achievements of Northeast China in Practicing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era" thematic briefing, co-hosted by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Party Committees of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Liaoning Province, Jilin Province, and Heilongjiang Province, will be held on October 14 in Changchun City, Jilin Province. The theme of the briefing is "Striving to Achieve New Breakthroughs in Comprehensive Revitalization of the Northeast". More than 200 political party leaders from over 50 countries, some foreign ambassadors to China, and representatives from foreign business sectors in China will attend the thematic briefing.

　　This Northeast thematic briefing is rich in content and has a tight schedule, including bilateral meetings, main presentations, economic and trade promotion meetings, and visits for foreign guests. The main purpose is to deeply promote Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to the international community, particularly taking the comprehensive revitalization of the Northeast as an example to present General Secretary Xi Jinping's important thoughts on coordinated regional development, telling compelling stories of Chinese-style modernization and the governance of the Communist Party of China from a new perspective.

　　It is the 18th event in the series of "Stories of CPC" thematic briefing. Compared to previous events, it has four main characteristics. Geographically, the local thematic briefing on "Stories of CPC" has come out of its usual borders for the first time, which is held in the Northeast region; in terms of format, this thematic briefing is the first to be jointly organized by the International Department and the provincial and district party committees of the three northeastern provinces; regarding content, it promotes the strategy of coordinated regional development systematically and thoroughly for the first time; in terms of participants, when inviting foreign guests, it combines foreign political parties, diplomatic envoys in China, and representatives from foreign business sectors in China organically for the first time, especially increasing the emphasis on presenting the economic development prospects and cooperation opportunities of the Northeast, which helps to enhance foreign economic cooperation in the Northeast region.

　　It is reported that the International Department established the brand, local thematic briefing on "Stories of CPC", in 2017. After the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party, it was officially named "Stories of CPC" – thematic briefing on the Local Practice of Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. The brand's greatest feature is the collaboration between central ministries and local party committees, combining the promotion of philosophies and the presentation of practices, featuring both official narratives and stories shared by ordinary citizens, telling the stories of China's development in the new era and the governance of the Communist Party of China in a convincing manner, which has received widespread acclaim from foreign political parties. As of now, the International Department has successfully held 17 local presentations in collaboration with the local party committees of 14 provinces (regions, municipalities). "Stories of CPC" thematic briefing has become an important window and channel for foreign political parties to understand China and the Communist Party of China, standing as an important brand for the Party's foreign work.
